This is an exceptional early American inlaid tea caddy, with bird's-eye maple veneer and string inlay. It has a beveled edge lid and two interior compartments with original lids for housing tea. Original lock, but no key. Pine is the secondary wood and the interior lids are made of cherry. Ca 1800. A super little piece of early America with a fine aged patina!
