​19th C. Sailor Made Beckets

This pair of finely woven beckets are in exceptional condition.  They are sailor-made, used as handles on sea chests.  Many that you find are in tattered condition.  These show very mild wear and may have been used on board a ship for a short period of time.  The detail in the weaving/knotting is extraordinary.  Notice the Monkey Fist handles.  A great early pair!
