This late 18th - early 19th C. dome-top box is adorned in it's original dry black paintedsurface. It has fine dovetailed construction with tiny early nails securing the bottom. The surface of the box has oxidized to a beautiful aged patina. It's inter retains the original red wash and the brass bail handle is of the period. It measures 15" wide by 12"deep by 9-1/2" tall. (There are a few early repairs to cracks consistant with age).
