18th C. Caughley Plate
This lovely small soft paste plate was made by Caughley porcelain works, one of the earliest porcelain manufacturers in Britain, established in the early 18th century. This plate is a blue and white porcelain with a decorated scalloped rim. The design is that of floral sprigs, pine cones and pomegranate. Ca 1751. With the Caughley blue cresint moon mark on the underside. In pristine condition. 7 1/4" diameter.
