18th C. Childs Chest

This very early chest was most likely for a child given its small size.  Made entirely of pine, constructed with rosehead nails.  It sits on bootjack legs, with an interior open till.  The original cotter-pin hinges are long gone, having been replaced with but hinges sometime in the 1800s.
It is in its original "attic surface", dry and oxidized, with various scribed pinwheels on the front of the chest.  Missing its lock.  Measuring   24 1/2" wide by  11 1.2" deep by  16 1/2" tall.
A remarkably preserved piece!
