Architectural Canadian Pulpit

This unique piece may have once been a pulpit from a church or lodge.  It has fine architectural details and is still adorned with a paint history of ivory, with traces of mustard and gray, over an earlier salmon.  It appears to have once had something covering the top, perhaps a slab of stone or piece of woodwork.  But I prefer its rustic appeal as it is.  It dates from the mid to late 1800s.  Constructed of hard pine makes it quite heavy for its size.  It is open on the back and is missing a shelf.  Measuring 43" wide by 15" deep by 36 1/2" tall.  This would make a great little bar for a small area or could be used in an entry hall.  A stunning piece!
