​Fine Pennsylvania Chalice

This early chalice was turned from a single piece of cherry.  It still retains its original red painted surface that has oxidized to a dark reddish-brown.  This chalice has hand written script on the base and is dated 1859.  The script reads "H. Benedict  Lanesboro Susq. Co. Penn 1859".  It measures 6 1/4" tall by 5 3/4" in diameter.   A great early piece of treen with history!  A rare find!
