Chip-Carved Hanging Watch Hutch

This remarkable 19th C. chip-carved watch hutch was made to be hung on the wall. It has a single hinged paned door that opens to the compartment for a pocket watch. The top has a decorative chip-carved crest. And the base has a single drawer. The carving is extremely well done and was obviously carefully planned due to its elaborate design. The surface is old and soft and the condition is excellent with no damage or missing design elements. With early nailed construction. Included is a pocket watch that is not original to the watch hutch. A stunning early piece! Early to mid-19th C.
