Monumental Cornucopia Hooked Rug

This extraordinary rug of a cornucopia with flowers vining out of its opening really makes a statement with its bold design and colors! It came out of a private collection in Southern California. It is initialed CR and dated 89. It was sold to me as a 19th C. rug, however, I am more inclined to think that it is a 20th C. rug. Although it does show wear. I leave it up to the buyer to make their own assessment. But 19th c. or not, it is a very stunning piece of art! Measuring an impressive 79 1/2" wide by 34 1/2" tall. Professionally mounted for display.
