This is a wonderful little early 19th C. Delaware Valley
(possibly New Jersey) stand made entirely out of cherry wood.  Even the secondary wood and the glues blocks are cherry.  It is quite diminutive in size with its case measuring only 13" wide.  It still retains its original working locks and key.  The drawers have incised edge molding and the reeded corner post end in delicately turned legs.  There are four finely dovetailed drawers; two over two that are graduated in size.  It appears to have it's original finish.  From a private collection.  It doesn't get much better than this.  A very rare and unusually small size, measuring 13" wide by 13-1/2" deep by 28-1/4" tall.  The top measures 16" by 15-1/4".  Ca. 1790-1810.  A super find!  The pictures of this remarkable little stand simply don't do it justice.  All original (a couple of tight age cracks from shrinkage).
