This exquisite domed top box is covered in early 19th C. hand-stenciled wallpaper. The wallpaper is in beautiful shades of blue with green and white accents that include three birds, swags and foliate designs. The interior of the box is lined in early newsprint from a Brattleboro, Vermont newspaper dated 1886. This box is in very good condition with a few minor imperfections. Its original leather hinges have later metal replacements. It measures 24" wide by 13": deep by 13-34" tall at the dome. A wonderful addition to any wallpaper box collection!
