This is a lovely 19th C. lidded basket, of Northeastern Indian origin. It is in near pristine condition with no major losses or repairs. It is made with woven splint and is accented in red and green vegetable dyes. A very fine example. They don't get any better than this! It measures approximately 11-3/4" wide by 9-1/2" deep by 7" tall.
