This amazing little 19th century forged iron dough scraper was most likely made for a child or young adult due to its unusually small size.   It could also have been a salesmans sample, however, I have never seen a salesmans sample in this form.  But I am not ruling out the possibility.  It appears to be well used, but in excellent condition with a wonderful patina.  It measures just under 3" in height.  The scraper blade measures 3-1/4" by 3-1/2".  The handle is 3" in length (just the right size for a child's small hand).   It originated in Pennsylvania but was purchased from a Midwestern estate.  A rare find!
