New England figured and tiger maple candlestand that is simple, yet elegant, with a graceful form, having an octagonal one-board top afixed to a beautifully turned post with encised rings, ending in spicer legs.  Nice mellow patina.  North Shore Massachusetts. Ca. 1800-1820.  Measuring 28" in height.  Top measuring roughly 16" by 16"..  A terrific little stand in untouched condition!
