This wonderful 19th C. American hanging wall box, or candle box, is made out of cherry and walnut with poplar as the secondary wood. It has a double-arched crest with a lift-lid and a dovetailed case with an applied base that is secured with tiny "T" head nails. It also has a finely dovetailed, divided drawer with a brass knob. Pennsylvania origin. In wonderful condition, original surface.
