​Early 20th C. Trade Sign

This wonderful trade sign was for the Coast Counties Gas & Electric Company.  With original lettering done in gold leaf with a red border, all on a dark black ground which has faded to a more subdued dark grey.  The board has lovely shaped ends and ogee edges.  The original iron straps are attached on the back of the board and secured with large iron brads from the front. Measuring 42 1/4" wide by 13 1/4" tall by 1" thick (counting iron brackets). Condition: surface wear from age and weather that shows more on the right side than the left.  One old age crack that is secure.  All consistent with age and use.
