This lovely Hudson Valley school landscape, done in gouche on paper, dates to the mid 19th century. It is housed in it's original period wood frame with a gilt liner. It has a small amount of foxing, but overall in very good condition. Acid-free backing has been placed behind the backing board for conservation. What appear to be streaks or runs on the painting are only reflections on the glass.
Very folky. Unsigned. It measures 23-1/4" by 15-1/4" overall.
