This outstanding early burl bowl has everything going for it. Great form that is
shallow and slightly "out of round"; great surface with a marvelous aged patina, a
lipped rim and a slightly footed base; and the wonderful make-do repairs done with red lead
filler that was used in the 18th C. The interior of this bowl has wonderful wear that has darkened
closer to the rim from handling. It is the perfect size with an approximate diameter of 13-3/4"
with an approximate depth of 3-1/2". Great form, great surface....it's a great thing!
