Miniature Doris Stauble Arrangement
Doris Stauble was a well known antiques dealer in Maine. But when someone offered to sell her the contents of a warehouse on the Hudson River, well stocked with Victorian millinery fruit and flower embellishments, a new business was born. Doris started making all sizes and shapes of still life arrangements with the Victorian millinery items. She would use antique buckets, bowls, baskets, marble urns, trenchers, etc. and fill them with her arrangements. Doris passed in 2007. But her work lives on. This is just one tiny example. The arrangement is done in a tiny antique marble compote. It measures approximately 4 3/4" in diameter by 4" tall. A lovely little piece for that small space!
