This wonderful miniature blanket chest came from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It has a molded edge lid on a finely dovetailed case that sits high on bracket feet. It still retains its early forest-green painted surface. The interior is fitted with a till that has a removable panel that reveals three hidden shelves. The underside has the original glue blocks and four rose-head nails securing the base. Made of poplar. Ca. 1790-1820. Measuring 17-3/4" wide by 8-1/4" deep by 10-1/4" tall. A wonderful find!
