​Early Pastry Board

This exceptional early pastry board has a lollipop handle for hanging and a beautifully scalloped top edge.  It is made from a single 3/4" thick board and secured with two battens on the backside.  The battens are attached with early iron staples.  There is a crack from shrinkage.  But it is nicely secured by the battens.  The surface shows great wear from use.  New England origin.  Measuring 32-1/2" wide by 40-1/4" tall to the top of the handle.  It has a depth from the wall of 2" to allow for the battens.   A great display piece for the kitchen!
