Pair of Early Iron Architectural Ornaments
This pair of architectural ornaments are cast iron. They may have been garnishments to a gate or possibly a building. Either way they are so appealing with their original weathered, rust worn surface. Each has two hole that work well for hanging. Probably Victorian period. Found in Maine. Each measures 13 1/4" wide by 9 3/4" tall and when hung extend approximately 2 to 2 1/2" off the wall. A charming and decorative pair! They could also be incorporated into a great pair of lamps!
