19th C. Pastel Portrait of A Puppy

This adorable portrait of a puppy, holding a lace edged table cloth in his mouth, is done in pastel, in the manner of Susan Waters, possibly one of her students.  But finely done, nevertheless.  Housed in a period, possibly original, wood frame with gilt liner.  Second half 19th C.

Measuring   23 1/4" wide by 19 1/4" tall.
