​18th C. Chip Carved Pantry Box

This primitive pantry box has chip carving on the lid.  With a saw-tooth design on the edge, and two compass stars, one surrounded with chip carved diamond shapes.  This box is in original attic surface.  It came from the renown Roger Bacon collection and still retains his inventory sticker on the bottom.  Measuring   " in diameter by   " tall.  A wonderful primitive piece with a great provenance.
