This marvelous example of a sailor-made love token is expertly done. It was macrameed by hand using fishing twine from onboard the ship. The sailor even incorporated tiny handles on the sides and lid. A silk ribbon is intertwined around the body of the basket. The interior is also lined with silk. The time and effort put into this piece showed just how much he missed his loved one while at sea. An intricate little piece! Measuring just 3-3/4" tall by 5-3/4" diameter.
