This charming sewing basket, ca 1920, was made in China and very popular during the 1920's. Very often the Peking glass beads and the Chinese coins were removed, so it is more difficult to find them with the decorations still attached. This basket is in excellent condition, with all of the original coins, tassels, beads and rings intact. It measures aprox. 10” across and 4” high.  There are 8 Chinese coins and wonderful wrapped tassels attached with the traditional knotted cord, 26 peaking glass beands in assorted colors and 2 blue peking glass rings.  . This is a treasure for collectors of sewing memorabilia.
