Fine Early Shoe Store Trade Sign
Here is a real show stopper when it comes to trade signs. Late 19th to early 20th C. Made from two 1" thick boards with 1" thick frame and batten boards on the back. Overall thickness is 2". The business address number and name are done in black lettering with a salmon colored drop shadow on a bold mustard yellow ground. "314 GEORGE'S SHOE STORE - SHOES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY". It is signed towards the base with the sign makers name, "Quinn Sign Shop". The back is in a light blue that has darken due to oxidation. Measuring 18" in width by 6' tall by 2" thick. This is a terrific early sign with great color!
