19th C. Silk Needlework

This outstanding early needlework is expertly hand stitched of silk thread on a silk ground, done in gray, brown, and black tones.  It depicts a lake or inlet with hills in the background, a man and woman conversing in the right foreground,  and a young boy and his dog playing in the left foreground.  There is such fine detail to every aspect of this piece.  It housed in a period silver gilt frame and professionally done with acid free materials.  A fabulous piece!  Measuring 17" wide by 14 1/2" tall (with frame).
