Store Display Bottle

This huge blown-molded amber glass bottle was probably used for display in a front window or counter of a Pharmacy or Dry Goods store.  It has an elaborate design on one side and the back side is slightly concave.  There is nice wear on the bottom edge.  The glass has some air pockets and shows all the signs of being good early blown glass.  Ca. 1870-1880.  Because it was blown from the neck end of the bottle there are chips and imperfections on the lip.  There is also a hairline that may just be from the mold.  Other than that it is in wonderful condition.  From a private Connecticut collection.  Measuring 24" tall by 12" wide and  is 5-1/2" thick.
