Late 19th C. Carved Swan Decoy

This very good, early swan decoy still has remnants of its original painted surface. The body is carved from a single tree trunk, with an applied head and neck that was carved in three separate pieces. Retaining its original tow ring on the bottom front of the body. Fine condition with minor imperfections consistent with age and use. Paint appears original. Measuring 29" long by 13 1/2" wide by 18-1/2" tall to the top of the head. A great piece of folk art!
